The Doberman Pinscher, or Dobermann, received initial recognition in 1890 by German tax collector Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann. Dobermans are renowned for being sensitive, affectionate, and caring toward children they mature with. These pets are strong and spirited, making them excellent family protectors. However, their high energy and protective instincts can occasionally create problems. When in protective mode, a Doberman can become restless, aggressive, and dangerous. They require training, socialization, and exercise to prevent channeling their energy inappropriately.
